1. Acceptance of these Terms

By creating an account, listing an institution, submitting an enquiry or application, or otherwise using FeesBasket (the “Platform”), you confirm that you are legally able to enter into this agreement (and, if under 18, that a parent or legal guardian accepts these Terms on your behalf) and that you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy practices. These Terms apply to all users — students, parents, guardians, and institutions.

2. What FeesBasket is (and is not)

FeesBasket is an independent technology platform that lets students and parents discover and compare institutions, and lets institutions publish listings and receive enquiries. FeesBasket is not an educational institution, agent, broker, guarantor, adviser, or party to any admission, enrolment, payment, or contract between a user and an institution. Any dealing, application, admission, payment, or agreement you make with an institution is strictly between you and that institution.

3. Information accuracy & institution responsibility

All institution-specific information on the Platform — including but not limited to fees and the Total Annual Cost, fee components, programs, eligibility, seats, admission process, results and placements, scholarships, discounts and offers, facilities, accreditation and affiliation claims, photographs, videos, brochures, contact details and any other content — is supplied by the respective institution.

• The institution is solely responsible for that content and warrants that it is true, accurate, current, lawful and not misleading.
• FeesBasket does not create, control, independently confirm, or guarantee the truth of that content and assumes no responsibility or liability for it.
• Content may be out of date, incomplete or incorrect. You must independently verify all details directly with the institution before applying, paying, or making any decision.
• Computed figures such as the Total Annual Cost are derived from the components an institution supplies; they are indicative aids for comparison, not quotations or commitments.

4. Verification is a limited check, not an endorsement

Some listings display a “verified” badge. Verification is a limited, good-faith administrative check of basic existence and eligibility to list. It is not a certification, audit, endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee of an institution’s accuracy, quality, accreditation, legality, financial standing, admission outcomes, or of any specific fee, result, scholarship or claim. Approval or publication of a listing by FeesBasket does not transfer any responsibility for its content to FeesBasket; that responsibility remains entirely with the institution. FeesBasket may add, withhold, or remove a verified status at its discretion and without notice.

5. Terms for students & parents

• Provide accurate information in your profile, enquiries and applications, and keep your account secure.
• Use the Platform only for genuine, lawful discovery and admission purposes; do not scrape, spam, or misuse listings or contact details.
• When you enquire or apply, your contact details are shared with the relevant institution so it can respond — this is the purpose of the Platform.
• Decisions are yours. Any choice to apply to, enrol in, or pay an institution is made on your own independent judgement after verifying details directly with the institution. FeesBasket does not advise on or guarantee admission, suitability, fees, or outcomes.
• Rewards, points, coupons and referral benefits are promotional, have no cash value, and are governed by their own rules; FeesBasket may change or withdraw them at any time.

6. Terms for institutions

By listing on the Platform, the institution (and the person accepting on its behalf, who warrants they are authorised to do so) agrees that:

• It is solely and fully responsible for all content it publishes and for keeping it accurate, current, lawful, and not misleading — including fees, results, scholarships, accreditation/affiliation claims, images and offers.
• It has the right to publish all such content (including all images, logos and media) and that doing so does not infringe any third party’s rights or any law.
• It will honour the fees, offers, scholarships and terms it publishes, and will promptly correct any error. Any dispute about published details is between the institution and the user.
• It will respond to enquiries and handle applicant data lawfully and only for legitimate admission purposes, in line with applicable data-protection law.
• FeesBasket may edit, reject, suspend, or remove any listing or content, and may withhold or remove verification, at its discretion.
• The institution indemnifies FeesBasket as set out in Section 11 for claims arising from its content or conduct.

7. Payments, wallet & fees

Subscription plans, lead purchases, advertising and wallet top-ups by institutions are charged as described at the point of purchase and are subject to applicable taxes. The prepaid wallet balance is a facility for using paid Platform features and is not a deposit or investment. Except where required by law or expressly stated, amounts paid to FeesBasket for Platform services are non-refundable. Fees or payments you make directly to an institution are entirely between you and that institution — FeesBasket does not collect, hold, or refund those and is not responsible for them.

8. Reviews & user content

Reviews and other user-generated content reflect the views of the individuals who post them, not FeesBasket. We may moderate, and only verified applicants may review, but we do not guarantee that any review is accurate or fair. By posting content you grant FeesBasket a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host and display it on the Platform, and you are responsible for what you post.

9. Disclaimers — “as is”, no warranties

The Platform and all content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. FeesBasket does not warrant or guarantee any institution, listing, fee, result, scholarship, offer, admission, availability of seats, outcome, or that the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free. Your use of the Platform and any reliance on its content is at your own risk.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FeesBasket and its officers, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of admission, opportunity, money, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to: (a) any institution content or the accuracy, quality, legality or availability of any listing, fee, result, scholarship or offer; (b) any dealing, application, admission, payment, or dispute between you and an institution; (c) your reliance on any content on the Platform; or (d) your use of, or inability to use, the Platform.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FeesBasket’s total aggregate liability for any and all claims relating to the Platform is limited to the amount you actually paid to FeesBasket (not to any institution) for Platform services in the three (3) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or ₹1,000, whichever is lower. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FeesBasket and its officers, employees and partners from any claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to content you submit, your breach of these Terms or any law, or — for institutions — any claim by any person arising from your listing, content, fees, offers, admissions, or conduct.

12. Intellectual property

The Platform, its design, and its software are owned by FeesBasket and protected by law. Institution logos, images and materials remain the property of their owners, who are responsible for the rights to publish them. You may not copy, scrape, resell, or create derivative works from the Platform without our written permission.

13. Suspension & termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate any account or listing at any time — including for inaccurate or unlawful content, misuse, non-payment, or breach of these Terms — with or without notice. You may stop using the Platform and close your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including accuracy responsibility, disclaimers, liability limits, and indemnities) continue to apply.

14. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute relating to these Terms or the Platform. You agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute with us in good faith by contacting us.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows the current version. Material changes take effect when posted; your continued use of the Platform after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
